Yesterday he was on Good Morning Britain where he criticised his late ex-wife’s family for ‘cashing in’ on Amy after her death by agreeing to give the rights to her music and image for a forthcoming hologram tour. Still a divisive figure, Fielder Civil crops up every now and then to tell his side of the story. Fielder Civil appeared on Good Morning Britain on Tuesday to discuss the hologram tour (ITV) Two years after that, Amy Winehouse died of alcohol poisoning.
Two years later, at the age of 27, Winehouse split from Fielder Civil amidst rumours of pressure from each of their families to end it. Fielder Civil, who was a production assistant when they met in a Camden pub in 2005, was also the person who first introduced Winehouse to heroin. She called him ‘My Blakey’ and got his name tattooed above her heart.
